A Day at the Seaside

As I mentioned in my last post I went to the seaside today with my best friend Allie and my Mum and Dad. It was cold, but good. I used to go to Hunstanton every summer for a week, but last time I went all I wanted to do was come home. I've seen the place enough times, and the whole area around it! But my grandparents own a caravan there so we went to visit them whilst they're on holiday.

A trip to the seaside isn't complete without a Mr Wippy.

Took me a while to get the knack of bowling. I twist my hand and it doesn't go in the direction I want it to!

Allie, me, mum and dad on the beach. I look demented.

Yet again I look demented, but you can't beat a giant Mr Wippy !
Tomorrow i'm going to a movie night at my friend Becca's house with Allie, Sophie, and Charlotte. We're watching 127 Hours and then a horror, which i'm not too thrilled about! I'll just steal the nachos and pizza and spend the evening hiding behind the sofa. Depending on how scary the horror film is, I probably won't be sleeping tomorrow night. I am such a wimp.

Coral nails and Bronte tales

Today I met up with my friend Kat. We went to a coffee shop, did some people watching and had a laugh. These are some pictures from the last few days, as you can see I haven't been doing anything very interesting.

Mother made a meringue (just had to check with Google if that was the right spelling which to my  surprise it was).

Kat painted my nails a summery coral colour by Barry M, which funnily enough and very creatively is called Coral. On here they just look pink. I'm trying my hardest not to chip them or pick at them, but I am finding it quite difficult.

Percy pig sweets and a customised Jane Eyre book cover, I just couldn't resist!

The adorable presents my friend Becca got me for my birthday. These slippers have been keeping my toes nice and cosy as it's been pretty cold weather today.

Tomorrow I'm off to the sea-side with my best friend Allie and my parents to visit my grandparents. Should be a nice day, just as long as the weather isn't horrible. I've got my bucket and spade and my 1p coins ready!

Spanish sun is the one

This is a bit of a late post, but I've only had this blog for two days so that's my excuse. In July I went on holiday with my best friend Allie to Spain. It was my first flight, my first holiday away with a friend, and my first experience of a hot country. We stayed on the Costa Brava in a small town called Pineda De Mar which was a really pretty area, PLUS our hotel was right next to the beach, which meant waking up to sea views every morning! We also visited the beautiful city of Barcelona, something I had been very excited about. It definitely lived up to expectations, and I certainly wouldn't mind going back there! Unfortunately my camera battery's ran out after the third day of being in Spain so I've stolen some of these pictures from Allie.

Flying over the South of France. Seeing as I was a first time flyer I was allowed the window seat, which did result in a bit of a shriek when the plane took off!

Me and Allie on the transfer after just arriving in Spain.

These cocktails known as 'San Franciso's' were delish! I could do with one now.

A beautiful view of a bus stop Barcelona from the mountains.

Me and Allie on the port, this was so pretty with the sparkling sunshine bouncing off the water.

A street artist on Las Ramblas in Barcelona.

I guess you could say I got a little bit sunburnt. I blocked out my face to save anyone from eye damage.

A street in Barcelona, it makes me think of LA.

This was such a good holiday and ever since I've got home I've just wanted to be abroad again!

Giving in to Models Own

After about three weeks of ummming and arrrrring over the huge selection of colours and polishes by Models Own, (not to mention breaking into my bank account) I finally gave in and made my first order. I've heard great things about the quality of Models Own when reading other blogs, and I just wanted to have pretty nails. There's nothing wrong with wanting pretty nails. The 50% off sale also had a great part in finally ordering something!

These are the colours I decided on...

1. Jade Stone 2. Pastel Pink 3.Coral Reef 4. Top Turquoise 5. Silver Fox
Models Own Nail Polish usually costs £5 per bottle, but with the sale on at the moment these came in at £2.50 each! What a bargain. Now I just have to wait for them too arrive *sad face*.

The result of boredom and lack of social life.

I feel a little bit silly writing this when I don't yet have any followers. Which, of course is no surprise seeing as this is my first ever post. Hmm... what too write. Maybe, I should start with a little about myself and why I have decided to start this little project, otherwise known as a blog.

I'm Charlotte, and I'm a seventeen year old living in Bedfordshire, England. I'm at sixth form studying English Language and Literature, Media Studies and History A Levels. I'm aspiring to work in the Media industry in either Journalism or Radio. I'm one of those people who could spend days in my bedroom doing absolutely nothing, but I do love an adventure once in a while. I spend half my time thinking about what needs to be done rather than actually doing it, which is a nicer way of saying that I'm lazy.

I guess I wanted to start this blog to practice my writing, and to have something to show for myself (maybe I should take the bit out about being lazy) which hopefully people will enjoy reading. I've had a tumblr blog for about a year and a half now and it's getting rather boring, I want to start something a little more personal.

So, to the person who reads this and hopefully (fingers, hearts, toes, eyes crossed) follows, welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy the adventure.

P.S My full name is Charlotte Buckley which should explain my blog name.
